The latest video of a UFO sighting over Yellowstone is causing unexpected uproar among enthusiasts of unidentified flying objects.
After Fox News reported on October 10, 2017, that a UFO was spotted over Yellowstone volcano, our students (some of them enthusiasts of the unusual) wanted to investigate the network’s report further.
According to Fox, and subsequently other media reports, the UFO was spotted over Yellowstone during the summer. A video of the unusual UFO sighting was allegedly uploaded to YouTube just recently.
As seen in the video, the unidentified flying object appears as a bright white light coming from behind a hill as smoke is visible from Yellowstone’s volcanic hot spots.
The more than 3-minute video is replaying the same scene. The unidentified round object appears from behind the hill, soars across the sky, seems to explode into an even bigger bright light, and then vanishes out of sight.
Our students, along with other UFO and alien enthusiasts, are always keeping an eye out for reports coming from Wyoming’s Yellowstone volcano since the National UFO Reporting Center has received hundreds of reports of such sightings.
However, after watching the video of the latest Yellowstone UFO sighting, our students agreed with most YouTube viewers. The video is not worth 3 minutes of our lifetime.
Fox News claims that the YouTube video of the UFO sighting was just recently uploaded. However, the publication date is stated as June 26, 2017.
The video, titled “Impressive UFO near the Yellowstone Volcano, USA June 9th 2017,” is anything but “impressive.”
Similar to most other viewers’ reactions, our students commented that the supposed UFO video was grainy, choppy — and too long.
Upon further investigation and research, our students discovered that the background for the video was actually taken from a live-streaming webcam at Yellowstone National Park’s Old Faithful Geyser.
The live-streaming webcam, which also shares images of other parts of the Upper Geyser Basin, is better in quality than the video shared on YouTube. Our students also noted the unusual shadows of the trees and the lack of any reflection of the alleged unidentified flying object.
Overall, our students were extremely disappointed that Fox News even bothered to report about the video of this apparently manufactured UFO sighting.
