Alaskan Bush People mom Ami Brown’s illness worsens as daughter Rain Brown is fighting depression, body aches, and not wanting to get out of bed.
The latest news update to Ami Brown’s stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis is not good.
Brown family insiders report that Ami is getting ready to do a second round of chemotherapy at UCLA. The family is currently renting a house in Beverly Hills, which is just a few miles away from the treatment center.
Stage 4 lung cancer means that the cancer has spread to other parts of the body. Since Ami’s cancer is inoperable, chemotherapy or chemoradiation (a combination of chemotherapy and radiation) seems to be the most likely course of treatment.
The fact that Ami Brown’s diagnosis is stage 4 lung cancer, and the fact that Ami is doing a second round of chemotherapy in less than 6 months, is not good news.
According to the American Cancer Society, if a cancer continues to grow during treatment or returns in less than 6 months, doctors generally have to use different chemotherapy drugs in order to reduce the side effects.
Lung cancer that is progressing despite chemotherapy makes treatment extremely difficult.
If a second round of chemotherapy treatment is unsuccessful, Ami Brown’s advanced lung cancer diagnosis might leave her no other alternative but to take part in a clinical trial.
While some of the Alaskan Bush People sons are dealing with their mom Ami’s illness by travelling around the country and posing in photos with fans, Ami’s 14-year-old daughter Rain Brown is at home with her parents.
Yesterday, Rain posted the following insightful message on her Instagram page:
For the past few days I’ve been struggling with some things, such as my depression, life, and some teen girl probs too (ya know a broken nail😏💅🏻) and I couldn’t figure out why I was in such bad shape I stayed in bed for about four days with minor aches and pains and I couldn’t find out a reason, it bothered me so much, I lost any want to be healthy or motivational, I was just a husk, but just now in the middle of the night it occurred to me, sometimes you don’t have to have a reason sometimes you don’t have to be perfect and somedays you just feel like staying in bed and watching old @simplynailogical videos and that’s OKAY! In the time of all this happening I told myself that over and over but it also hit me I had to actually believe it and just let it go and stop being bothered by it, I still feel kinda down and Like being lazy, but that’s alright because my body knows what it needs and if that’s rest I won’t be one to refuse. Stay strong my rainbows and listen to your body and soul they know what you need, don’t let your depression or dark feelings try to make you feel bad or people make you feel bad for doing what you know is right for you❤️🌈 Ps my mom gave me some panaway oil and now my aches feel so much better thanks mommy!!! #staystrong #stayhappy #momsrock #dailyquotes #rainspiration
The “panaway oil” that Rain is mentioning is PanAway Oil. The oil consists of Wintergreen, Clove, Helichrysum, and Peppermint.
PanAway oil can be used for even severe headaches by applying just a few drops on one’s temples. The oil can also be rubbed on other parts of the body to relieve tension or aches. Some people use the oil for migraines, knee injuries, soreness, wrist pain, and back pain. Despite its cost, the oil is treasured because it helps stressed muscles as well as stressed nerves.
Judging from Rain Brown’s social media posts, despite Ami Brown’s serious illness, the Alaskan Bush People mom is supporting her teen daughter not just with a great product, but also with some great support and advice.
